Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a X-ray Technician - Medical Assistant in Kyle, TX to support clinical imaging and patient care. You will take vital signs, perform EKGs, and assist with injections while updating charts in the EHR.

The role requires graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, state license, and BLS certification within 30 days. Sign-on bonus up to $1,000 is offered with CareNow benefits. This is an on-site position with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
• Maintain records for in-house and external lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
