Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an X-ray Technician/Medical Assistant to perform x-ray and imaging services, take vital signs, collect specimens, and support patient care in our clinics.

Responsibilities include updating the EHR, assisting with check-in/check-out, and maintaining accurate lab records. Candidates should have MA training, appropriate licensure, and BLS within 30 days. A supportive team and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT, LMRT, or NCT license is required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS Certification required within 30 days of start.
• Certifications for Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening within 3 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart audits.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
