Job summary

HCA Healthcare, CareNow is seeking a Limited X-ray Machine Operator/Medical Assistant to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will perform imaging, collect samples, and support front-desk operations while maintaining accurate records.

The role requires an RT or LXMO/LMRT license in-state, HS diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification within 30 days, with AAMA certification preferred for career growth.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or approved BOTP program is required.
• RT or LXMO/LMRT license in state residency is required.
• Current AAMA certification is preferred.
• Current BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol Screening and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider's orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records and logs for radiology, in-house labs, and external lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
