Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant (PRN) to deliver patient-focused care in a fast-paced setting. You will take vitals, perform EKGs, administer IM injections, and perform imaging per orders while updating electronic health records.

Licensed RT/LSO (LMRT) in-state, BLS current within 30 days, and MA program completion are required; AAMA certification is preferred. Join a supportive team at CareNow clinics owned by HCA Healthcare.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• EHR system experience is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO/LMRT) license in state of residency required.
• Current AAMA certification preferred.
• Current BLS Certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain radiology, in-house lab, and drug screening records and logs.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
