Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a PRN X‑Ray Tech/Medical Assistant to support patient care in our clinic. You will perform imaging, vital signs, EKGs, injections, and MA duties while updating the EHR and maintaining accurate charts.

Requirements include 1+ year clinical experience, M.A. program completion, RT/LSO license, and BLS within 30 days. We offer comprehensive benefits and a strong patient‑centered team environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited school of Medical Assistants or completion of an approved program (BOTP) is required.
• Radiological Technologist (RT) or Limited Scope Operator (LSO / LMRT), license is required in state of residency.
• Current certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) is preferred.
• Current BLS Certification is required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain a Federal Breath Alcohol Screening Certification and Federal Drug Screening Certification within 3 months of employment or promotion.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs and collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
• Maintain records including radiology, in-house lab work, drug screens, and external lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
