Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a X-ray Tech/Medical Assistant PRN to join our urgent care team. You will perform imaging services, collect patient history, document in the EHR, and assist with check-in/out while maintaining accurate records.

This role emphasizes patient care, safety, and efficient clinic flow in a busy environment. The position requires 1+ year of clinical experience, an accredited MA program, GMRT/LMRT/NCT license in state of residency, and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

• 1+ year clinical experience in a patient care setting is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistants program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred and encouraged.
• Current BLS Certification required within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs and administer IM injections.
• Perform imaging services according to provider orders and update charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and auditing charts.
• Maintain records and logs for in-house and sent-out lab work.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
