Job summary

CARENOW - NACOGDOCHOS MSO - NEW, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an X-ray Tech - Medical Assistant to join an amazing team dedicated to patient care. You will perform imaging, vital signs, EKGs and IM injections, while maintaining accurate charts and preparing clients for visits.

The role requires at least 1 year of clinical experience, familiarity with EHRs, and a valid Medical Assistant program credential. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth within HCA Healthcare.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or BOTP is required.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license is required in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs and IM injections.
• Perform X-ray/imaging services per provider orders and update charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records of in-house and external lab work and drug screens.
• Keep patients and visitors informed of clinic progress.
