Job summary

HCA Healthcare is looking for an NCT - Medical Assistant to join CareNow in Texas. The role supports patient care with clinical duties, imaging, and EHR documentation, under provider orders.

You will engage with the patient journey from check- in to discharge and help maintain accurate records. Qualifications include a high school diploma and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, with GMRT/LMRT/NCT licensing in state of residency.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience is helpful.
• Experience using an EHR system is beneficial.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) is required.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license in state of residency is required.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol and Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect lab specimens, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform radiology imaging according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings, and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and chart audits.
• Maintain in-house labs records and external lab results.
• Inform patients and visitors about clinic progress.
