Job summary

Nikon Metrology is hiring an experienced X-ray Field Service Technician to install, maintain, repair, and upgrade X-ray products across North America. Travel is extensive, with potential international trips, and the role requires strong technical skills and ITAR access.

You will troubleshoot, test, and repair complex systems, while supporting customers and dealers, and aligning with service procedures and documentation requirements.

Qualifications

• Must meet ITAR access requirements.
• Willingness to travel 80% domestically with potential international travel.
• 2+ years’ experience in a technical role or >4 years in a technical role.
• Experience on complex capital equipment with subsystems such as vacuum, manipulators, HV, mechanical, and PCs.
• Identify and fix issues down to board level.
• Electrical, electronic & mechanical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Overtime eligibility under FLSA.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot system failures and perform corrective actions.
• Maintain and service Nikon Metrology X-ray products.
• In‑house testing and repair of spare parts and systems.
• Provide field/remote support at customer locations.
• Submit timesheets, service reports, and documentation promptly.
