Job summary

BestCare Treatment Services, Inc. seeks a Parent Partner / Case Manager to support families involved in intensive services including Wrap-Around and IIBHT. The role requires coordinating teams, training families, and ensuring family voice is central in planning.

Ideal candidates have a relevant degree or multiple years of experience with children and families, plus QMHA certification or eligibility. Travel to community settings may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, counseling, psychology, or social services or
• High School Diploma plus 5 years’ equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of degree
• Experience parenting a child who uses mental/behavioral health services or faces education/health barriers
• Must have maintained recovery for 2 years if in recovery from substance-use disorder
• QMHA-I required or eligible to register for QMHA-R within 1 week and obtain within 6 months
• Valid Oregon Driver License or ability to obtain one, insurable by policy

Responsibilities

• Provides direct support to parents/caregivers involved in intensive treatment services
• Partners with treatment team to ensure wraparound and intensive services are provided
• Participates in wraparound team meetings with child, family, school rep, and community partners
• Ensures family voice and choice in all phases of the process
• Connects families to other families, support groups, and natural supports
• Educates and encourages parents about self-care activities
• Assists family members in navigating systems
• Provides information about child-serving systems, behavioral health, and resources
• Models empathy and effective listening with parents/caregivers
• Helps family identify vision and needs, using strengths and culture
• Shares experiences to build relationships and help families succeed
• Facilitates problem-solving to resolve barriers to plan follow-through
• Demonstrates effective system, service, and team interactions
• Provides training in home, clinic, or community settings
• Mentors families to advocate and manage services
• Provides case management as assigned
• Offers additional skills training to youth and families
• Completes documentation in client charts on time
• Promotes professional communication among staff and partners
• Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in service delivery
• Participates in Wrap-Around and IIBHT trainings and stays updated
• Performs other related duties as assigned
