Job summary

BestCare Treatment Services, Inc. is seeking a Parent Partner / Case Manager to support parents whose children are in intensive services such as Wrap-Around and IIBHT. The role includes case management and skills training for families as needed.

The position requires experience parenting a child with behavioral health challenges and working with teams to coordinate high-quality wraparound services. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus and a Oregon driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, counseling, psychology, or social services or
• High School Diploma plus 5 years’ equivalent experience with children and families, coordinating teams, and strength-based planning may be considered in lieu of the degree
• Experience parenting a child who has mental/behavioral health barriers or has used services

Responsibilities

• Provides direct support to parents/caregivers involved in intensive treatment services
• Partners with treatment team to ensure wraparound services are provided
• Participates in wraparound team meetings with family, school, and community partners
• Explains family voice and choice in all phases of the process
• Connects families to support groups and natural supports
• Educates parents about self-care activities
• Assists families in navigating systems
• Provides information about child-serving systems and community resources
• Demonstrates empathic listening and cultural sensitivity
• Mentors families to advocate for services and supports
• Provides case management and additional skills training as assigned
• Completes documentation in client charts within timelines
• Promotes professional communication among staff and partners
• Participates in required training for Wrap-Around and IIBHT
