Job summary

Onyx Health Consulting seeks an experienced RN wound care nurse to assess wounds, implement treatment plans, monitor infection, and maintain skin integrity across residents.

You will lead wound rounds, document measurements, educate staff and families, and coordinate with rehab and QA teams. This on-site role in a care facility requires physical activity and occasional weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent nursing degree required.
• Current RN license in Florida.
• Two years clinical nursing experience.
• Peripheral IV certification.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive care plans for skin impairments with updates as needed.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds with wound consultant.
• Document weekly wound measurements.
• Review investigations for new skin openings related to pressure.
• Monitor vascular/arterial/surgical wounds and document treatment and follow-up.
• Educate patients and families on wound care processes.
