Job summary

Onyx Health Consulting in Florida is seeking a full-time Wound Care Nurse to provide comprehensive wound care, assess wounds, and implement treatment plans. The role requires an RN with a BSN or equivalent and a current Florida license, plus CPR/BLS certification and clinical experience.

The nurse will lead wound care initiatives, educate care teams and families, participate in QA efforts, and coordinate with rehab and care staff to maintain skin integrity across residents.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse must be licensed to practice in the state employed.
• BSN or equivalent education is required.
• Two years of clinical nursing experience.
• One-year management experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification is required.
• English language proficiency (read/write/speak) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a comprehensive care plan for skin impairments and update as needed.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds with a wound consultant.
• Document weekly wound measurements.
• Review investigations for new pressure-related openings.
• Monitor vascular/arterial/surgical wounds and document treatment and care plans.
• Educate patients and families on wound care processes.
