Job summary

Onyx Health Consulting is seeking an experienced wound care registered nurse to lead comprehensive skin care plans, monitor infections, and coordinate daily care for residents. You will perform wound assessments, educate families, and supervise nursing staff in wound care procedures.

This role requires an RN license in Florida, BSN or equivalent, two years of clinical nursing, and CPR/BLS certification. The environment is a health care setting with regular rounds and QA involvement.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an RN nursing program.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Peripheral IV certification is required.
• Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience.
• One year in management preferred and geriatrics/subacute experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive care plans for skin impairments and update as needed.
• Conduct weekly wound rounds with wound consultant and document measurements.
• Review new skin openings related to pressure and coordinate follow-up.
• Educate patients and families on wound care processes and issues.
• Demonstrate wound care procedures to other caregivers.
• Assist in QA and PI processes and participate in morning report.
