Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or GED; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years office administration experience, preferably in a medical setting; prior medical coding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with Center leadership to maximize daily patient census.
• Participates in staff meetings to support Center functions.
• Greets patients and visitors; answers and routes calls.
• Maintains patient scheduling, rescheduling, and appointment reminders.
• Coordinates with providers according to care continuum model.
• Verifies patient insurance information, including pre-certifications and pre-authorizations.
• Collects and enters patient charges; reconciles as directed.
• Assembles and maintains patient charts; ensures data completeness.
• Coordinates tests with other hospital departments.
• Arranges patient transportation as needed.
• Maintains office equipment and medical supplies.
• Performs other duties as required.
