Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered nursing license in Illinois.
• CPR certification required or within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when necessary.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers, family, staff and others.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; able to work harmoniously with others.
• Personable, enthusiastic, and resourceful.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants daily.
• Ensure supervision complies with Federal, State, and local standards.
• Develop and implement care plans for each customer.
• Attend care plan conferences and report concerns to the Administrator.
• Place orders for medications and treatments per budget.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and documentation.
