The Alden Network in Illinois seeks a Nursing Supervisor specialized in wound care to lead direct and indirect nursing care for ostomy, wound, and related conditions. You will oversee nurses, CNAs, and the wound care team, ensuring quality and compliance with care plans.

Responsibilities include documenting wound status, coordinating treatments, educating staff on prevention, and participating in care plan conferences. Applicants must hold IL RN/LPN license and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN or LPN license in Illinois.
• CPR certification current or within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and medical procedures.
• Interest or knowledge in aged care.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with patients, families, staff, and public.
• Leadership and supervisory ability.
• Personable, enthusiastic, resourceful attitude.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise nurses, CNAs, and other IDT members ensuring wound care protocols are followed.
• Assess and document wound status and skin care.
• Administer or assist with physician-ordered wound treatments.
• Review orders for completeness and transcription accuracy.
• Conduct weekly skin reports and share with nurse consultant and pharmacy.
• Educate facility staff on pressure ulcer prevention.
• Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic wound care services.
• Assist physician during wound care rounds.
• Update family and attending physician on wound changes.
• Participate in care plan conferences and QA program for wound care.
• Make rounds to ensure staff perform duties and protocols.
• Communicate wound progress on 24-hour report.
• Maintain clean and safe environment.
• Complete admission, transfer, discharge forms.
• Attend staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
