Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking a skilled registered nurse or licensed practical nurse to manage wound care for residents with ostomies and various wounds. You will supervise the wound care team, document wound status, and ensure adherence to care plans and physician orders.

You will educate staff on prevention strategies and collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic services, contributing to a high standard of patient care.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, unencumbered RN or LPN license in Illinois.
• CPR certification is required or obtained within two weeks of employment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of nursing practices and wound care procedures.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise nurses, CNAs and wound care staff.
• Assess and document wound status and skin care.
• Administer or assist with wound treatments per physician orders.
• Educate facility staff on pressure ulcer prevention and wound care protocols.
• Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic services required for wound care.
