Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to lead daily nursing activities and provide direct patient care. You will supervise nursing assistants and ensure services meet federal, state, and local standards while upholding facility policies.

Responsibilities include developing care plans, administering medications, attending care plan conferences, and maintaining accurate charting. Strong leadership and compassionate care are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, unencumbered RN license in Illinois and/or Wisconsin.
• Must possess CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices and procedures.
• Demonstrates interest and/or knowledge in care of the aged.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and supervise nursing assistants daily.
• Ensure supervision aligns with federal, state, local standards and facility policies.
• Develop and implement a written plan of care for each customer.
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
• Attend care plan conferences and participate in ongoing staff education.
• Maintain accurate nursing notes and documentation and supervise rounds.
