Zusammenfassung

The Alden Network is seeking an experienced Treatment Nurse RN or LPN in Illinois to deliver wound care and supervise wound care staff. The position offers 6am–2pm shifts with every-other-weekend rotation.

Responsibilities include direct and indirect nursing care for ostomies and wounds, supervising wound care technicians, and coordinating with physicians. Must be licensed in Illinois and CPR certified, with strong English communication and leadership abilities.

Qualifikationen

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN or LPN in Illinois.
• Must possess a current CPR certificate or become certified within two weeks of employment.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures.
• Interest or knowledge in aged care.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ability to interact tactfully with patients, families, staff, and the public.
• Leadership and supervisory ability; willingness to work with others.

Aufgaben

• Deliver direct and indirect nursing care to patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulae, stomas, soft tissue injuries and other wound types.
• Supervise wound care activities and supervise Wound Care Technicians.
• Assess and document wound status and skin care; administer or assist with wound treatments as ordered.
• Review treatment orders and transcription accuracy; ensure wound assessments reflect care plans.
• Coordinate diagnostic and therapeutic services for wound care as ordered by the physician.
• Provide education to facility staff on pressure ulcer prevention.
• Attend care plan conferences and collaborate with IDT and other health professionals.
• Contribute to developing and evaluating the care plan and wound care program.
