Job summary

Iberia Medical Center is seeking a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support wound care services under the direction of an RN or provider. You will administer wound care, perform basic nursing tasks, and follow hospital protocols and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include documenting care, assisting in vein clinic after training, coordinating intake and discharge, and communicating with the team to ensure high-quality patient care. LPN/LVN license and 2+ years experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program/state approved educational program.
• Current LPN or LVN license in the state of practice.
• 2+ years experience as LPN/LVN, including 1+ year in SNF/LTACH setting.
• Wound care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under RN/provider direction, provide wound-related patient care per BLS and hospital protocols.
• Assist in vein clinic after Healogics training.
• May assist with intake and discharge; case management under RN.
• Gather patient information and necessary equipment.
• Report quality of care issues to Clinical Nurse Manager.
• Communicate with team regarding interventions to ensure quality care.
• Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties after training.
• May function as Documentation Assistant (scribe) as per policy.
