Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide musculoskeletal care and worksite support across client sites. You will assess, plan, implement, and educate patients to maximize functional goals while supporting ergonomic and wellness initiatives.

You will collaborate with physicians, assistants, and other health professionals to coordinate care and ensure appropriate follow-up, contributing to a positive, high-trust work environment.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university (CAPTE).
• Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Physical Therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• Understanding of clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic medical records software in accordance with state, federal, and APTA guidelines.
• Outpatient experience for adolescent and adult population.
• Ergonomic training, certification, or experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Functions as part of care continuum and medical team, including but not limited to: physician, PA/NP, occupational therapist, health coach, medical assistant, etc.
• Administers appropriate physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercise, therapeutic activities, manual therapies, modalities, and patient education.
• Plans and executes a thorough goal-directed treatment program based on assessment results.
• Assist with care coordination and ensure appropriate level of care or follow-up.
• Supervises and directs PTA's in accordance with professional guidelines.
• Teach in-home therapeutic exercises and stretches as part of the treatment plan.
• Document patient care services in the EMR promptly and accurately.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment; comply with procedures and regulations.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
• Develop and maintain professional knowledge via publications and CE activities.
• Develop staff by providing evidence-based resources and in-service training.
• Provide injury prevention education and worksite assessments as needed.
