Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking a Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality musculoskeletal care and provide worksite support. You will assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy programs while educating employees on body mechanics, ergonomics, safety, and wellness initiatives.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to program training sessions, with emphasis on evidence-based practice and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university (CAPTE).
• Current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a Physical Therapist.
• Current BLS certification.
• Understanding of clinical documentation requirements utilizing electronic medical records software.

Responsibilities

• Functions as part of care continuum and medical team, including but not limited to: physician, PA/NP, occupational therapist, health coach, medical assistant, etc.
• Administers appropriate physical therapy treatments including therapeutic exercise, activities, manual therapies, modalities, and patient education.
• Plans and executes a thorough goal-directed treatment program based on assessment results.
• Assist with care coordination and ensure appropriate level of care and follow-up.
• Supervises and directs PTA’s in accordance with professional guidelines.
• Teach in-home therapeutic exercises and stretches as part of treatment plan.
• Documents patient care services in the EMR promptly and accurately.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies.
