Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop in Metairie, LA is seeking a Chief Workshop Manager to lead the store’s workshop operations, drive Guest experience, and achieve financial goals while upholding brand standards. You will coach a high-performing team, oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory, and compliance, and partner with district leadership to ensure smooth daily performance and remarkable experiences for Guests.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of management experience in a customer-centric business.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience using common store technology solutions (POS, scheduling, HRIS, time and attendance).

Responsibilities

Lead sales and team performance by coaching AWMs, SLs, and Bear Builders to deliver an exceptional Guest experience.
Create weekly schedules and assign daily tasks with the AWM; manage break times and priorities.
Make hiring and promotion decisions with input from the AWM.
Enforce policies, lead shifts, and address violations in coordination with DM/HR.
Oversee merchandising displays and inventory processes; ensure brand standards.
Develop a high-performing team in partnership with the AWM to deliver guest satisfaction.
