Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop is seeking an Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in all operations and guest service excellence. You’ll lead staff, drive sales, manage inventory, and uphold brand standards while fostering a fun, Experience First culture.

This role requires 2 years of store management, a high school diploma, and proficiency with POS and scheduling tools; associate degree preferred. On-site role with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric business.
• High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
• Basic understanding of POS, scheduling, HRIS, and time/attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager with daily assignments and staff direction.
• Support hiring decisions and promote staff as appropriate.
• Lead shifts, enforce policies, and communicate disciplinary actions when needed.
• Drive sales as Floor Leader by coaching team and delivering a strong guest experience.
• Ensure displays adhere to brand standards and create an inviting store environment.
• Maintain operational efficiencies and resolve guest issues promptly.
• Oversee inventory processes including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Help build a high-performing team delivering exceptional guest experiences.
