Job summary

Build-A-Bear Workshop seeks a TEMP Assistant Workshop Manager to support the store manager in all aspects of operations, ensuring excellent Guest service and effective staff management within a vibrant retail setting.

You will lead scheduling, coaching Bear Builders, and driving sales while maintaining brand standards and a safe, inviting environment for Guests and associates. This role emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and a strong customer focus in a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• 2 years of store management experience in a customer-centric retail environment.
• High school diploma required.
• Basic understanding of POS, scheduling, HRIS, and attendance systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Chief Workshop Manager in determining associates’ daily assignments and directing work for associates, including managing break schedules and daily priorities.
• Assist in hiring and promotion decisions and provide feedback on staff advancement.
• Lead and motivate the team during shifts, enforce policies, and address violations with appropriate actions.
• Drive sales as the Floor Leader, coach Bear Builders, and create a Guest experience reflecting the Experience First culture.
• Ensure merchandising displays adhere to brand standards and maintain an inviting store environment.
• Oversee inventory management processes including receiving, stocking, and counts.
• Develop a high-performing team that delivers an exceptional Guest experience.
