Job summary

Vox Media is seeking an experienced Manager, Workplace (Facilities) to run the New York City office operations with a hands-on leadership style. You will oversee daily operations, manage a small team of staff and contractors, and coordinate with building management and vendors to ensure a welcoming, functional space.

You will also support the DC office remotely, maintain safety/compliance protocols, and drive improvements across space planning and facilities projects.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in office/workplace operations.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, vendors, and facilities.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Comfort with adopting new technologies (AI tools) to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day workplace operations for NYC office.
• Manage a team of staff and contractors, including scheduling and timesheets.
• Coordinate with building management, vendors, and internal partners for smooth operations.
• Establish processes and standards to ensure consistent service and operational excellence.
• Own workplace budgets, POs, invoices, and vendor payments with Finance.
