Job summary

Xero in San Mateo is seeking a senior Workplace Lead to own the Workplace Experience for our hub. You will set operational standards, advise the local leadership on space design and ways of working, and ensure the office is a vibrant environment people want to attend.

You will test AI tools, automate workflows, and use workplace data to turn insights into recommendations, shaping how operations evolve across Xero's global footprint.

Qualifications

• Strong background in workplace or facilities management.
• Experience managing vendor performance and enforcing SLAs.
• Active experience using AI tools and workplace technology platforms.
• Skill in interpreting workplace data to generate actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Commercial acumen with experience managing operational budgets and building financial cases for change.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 and health, safety, security, and environment standards.

Responsibilities

• Automating day-to-day administrative workflows and workplace operations using AI tools and templates.
• Managing local vendor relationships across facilities management, cleaning, catering, and security to maintain service level agreements.
• Analysing workplace metrics, including occupancy, utilisation rates, and vendor cost‑per‑head, to guide strategic investment decisions.
• Managing ISO 27001 compliance and health, safety, security, and environment requirements to keep the site audit‑ready.
