Job summary

Xero is seeking a senior technical leader for Reporting & Insights to set a three-year architecture and product direction. You will align multiple teams across Vancouver and San Mateo and define how AI-native reporting and AI-driven insights are grounded in the ledger. The role balances hands-on work with strategic leadership.

You will own foundations for the data platform, guide cross-functional engineering, and mentor senior engineers to raise the technical bar across the group.

• Set long-term technical strategy for a domain or portfolio.
• Lead evolution of high-traffic, correctness-critical systems across teams.
• Connect AI/LLMs to product and architecture strategy.
