Confidential Employer in Bloomington-Normal, IL is seeking a workers’ compensation litigation attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join our defense team. You will independently manage cases, represent employers and insurers in hearings, depositions, and trials, and develop litigation strategies.

• 2+ years of workers’ compensation litigation experience.
• Experience managing litigation matters, including hearings, depositions, and case preparation.
• Strong legal writing, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
• Willingness to attend in-person proceedings and meetings as needed.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage workers’ compensation defense cases from initial investigation through resolution.
• Represent employers and insurers in hearings, depositions, trials, and other legal proceedings.
• Develop litigation strategies, analyze medical evidence, and negotiate favorable settlements.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, case evaluations, and other legal documents.
• Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and practical legal guidance.
• Collaborate with experienced colleagues on complex cases while developing your own practice.
