Job summary

Holmes Murphy Insurance, through its Creative Risk Solutions team, seeks a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to manage complex WC claims with a client‑focused approach.

This role requires 3–5 years of WC claims experience, a valid state license or willingness to obtain one within three months, and strong proficiency in claims processing and cross‑jurisdictional adjudication. The position emphasizes professional growth and collaborative problem solving.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years claims experience with strong background in Workers’ Compensation claims handling.
• Active state Workers Compensation License required or able to obtain within three months of hire.
• Strong knowledge of WC insurance coverage and claims processing procedures.
• Ability to adjudicate lost time claims across multiple jurisdictions and adapt to different software.

Responsibilities

• Receives, gathers and transmits workers’ compensation information from insureds, claimants and staff.
• Investigates, evaluates, and resolves lost time WC claims, including litigated claims.
• Mediates between insured and insurer, researching coverage issues as needed.
• Enters and maintains accurate information in the claims system, including final settlements.
