Job summary

Holmes Murphy is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Claims Specialist to join the Creative Risk Solutions team. The role focuses on handling workers’ compensation claims, including lost time cases, from intake to settlement, with emphasis on accurate data management and client service.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of claims experience, knowledge of WC coverage and processing, and will pursue licensure if needed. Competitive benefits and a strong culture are highlighted in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of Workers’ Compensation claims experience.
• Active state Workers’ Compensation license required or ability to acquire license within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Receive, gather and transmit workers’ compensation information accurately and promptly.
• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve lost time workers’ compensation claims, including litigated claims.
• Mediates between insured and insurer, researching coverage issues as needed.
• Enter and maintain accurate claim data in the system through the process, including final settlements.
• Generate checks for indemnity and medical payments daily.
• Develop and monitor consistent claims handling procedures within CRS.
• Willingness to become licensed if required in jurisdiction where claims are handled.
