Job summary

Mavis Discount Tire is seeking a meticulous Workers' Compensation Specialist for our White Plains, NY Operations Support Center. You will support employees and manage workers' compensation claims across our retail network, coordinating with field leadership, carriers, and third-party administrators.

The role requires organized, detail-oriented professionals adept at problem-solving in a fast-paced setting, helping return-to-work efforts and minimizing lost time while ensuring injured associates

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of workers' compensation claim processing experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, HRM, Business Management, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and skilled in building relationships with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Track case modifications, restricted-duty schedules, and transitional work accommodations with local leadership to minimize lost-time hours.
• Liaise with claim adjusters from third-party administrators to provide timely claim information and updates.
• Investigate accident details by cross-referencing manager accounts, injury descriptions, witnesses, and shop footage.
• File wage settlements, payroll verification documents, and other state forms with third-party administrators to expedite benefits.
• Assist field employees with prescription card activation, therapy appointments, payout delays, and other claim-related questions.
