Job summary

Freeman Health System is seeking a Workers' Compensation Specialist to oversee claims from initial report to resolution and ensure OSHA compliance. You will support injured employees, coordinate return-to-work programs, and manage documentation across multiple facilities.

The role requires experience in workers' compensation administration and strong analytical and communication skills, with potential for hybrid work following orientation.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of experience in workers' compensation administration, claims management, risk management, or occupational health.
• Knowledge of workers' compensation laws, OSHA regulations, and injury management processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Administer workers' compensation claims and coordinate activities from injury reporting through claim closure.
• Ensure timely reporting, documentation, and investigation of work-related injuries and illnesses.
• Serve as primary contact for injured employees, leaders, medical providers and third-party administrators.
• Maintain accurate claim files and records in compliance with regulations.
• Monitor claim activity and communicate with third-party administrators on progress and return-to-work opportunities.
• Coordinate transitional duty and return-to-work programs with leaders and occupational health.
