Job summary

Tire Discounters, Inc. is seeking a Workers’ Compensation Specialist to manage the organization’s workers’ compensation program.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for injured team members, coordinate with healthcare providers and insurers, and ensure timely, compliant claims processing. The role emphasizes accurate recordkeeping, trend analysis, and preventive safety measures, with a focus on compassionate communication and efficient return-to-work outcomes for our team across Ohio

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in workers’ compensation administration, occupational health and safety, risk management, or related field.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in HR, business, risk management, or related field.
• Experience with claims management systems and coordinating with third-party administrators or insurance carriers is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute established internal workers’ compensation policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure program alignment with regulations and organizational goals.
• Investigate and process workers’ compensation claims with assigned case workers.
• Ensure reporting/recordkeeping complies with regulatory requirements.
• Serve as primary contact for injured employees during the claims process.
• Coordinate with managers, medical providers, insurers, and third-party admins.
• Analyze accident reports to identify injury trends and contributing factors; advise on preventive measures.
• Monitor leave usage related to workers’ compensation claims.
• Maintain confidential records of claims, treatments, and documentation.
• Support return-to-work programs and safe transitions with stakeholders.
• Stay current on federal/state regs and best practices; provide training on workers’ comp."],
