Job summary

Pentair in Golden Valley, MN is seeking a Workers' Compensation Manager to lead the full lifecycle of the U.S. workers' compensation program.

You will collaborate with HR, EH&S, Operations, Finance, Legal, and external partners to ensure accurate reporting, consistent practices, and proactive strategies to reduce claims and costs. The role covers prevention, policy development, analytics, vendor management, return-to-work, and training.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of workers' compensation claims experience across the U.S.
• Experience managing claims end-to-end, including reserves and case valuation.
• Knowledge of federal and state disability laws (ADA, FEHA, FMLA) and workers' compensation laws/regulations.
• Experience in a self-insured environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and administer the full lifecycle of the company's workers' compensation program, ensuring effective governance and continuous improvement.
• Develop, implement, and maintain enterprise-wide workers' compensation policies and processes.
• Advise senior leadership and partner with HR, EH&S, and Operations to drive injury prevention and improve return-to-work outcomes.
• Oversee all claim activities with third-party administrators and vendors, ensuring timely reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Demonstrate strong vendor management by setting expectations and monitoring performance.
• Manage complex, high-risk, or litigated claims with proactive follow-up to mitigate exposure.
• Analyze claims data, monitor KPIs, and produce regular reports to inform decision-making.
• Support financial management of the program including budgeting, forecasting, and audits.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and ensure policies remain compliant.
• Serve as liaison with insurance carriers, TPAs, medical providers, and legal counsel.
