Job summary

Hertz is seeking an experienced leader to oversee our national Workers' Compensation and Return to Work programs, driving strong claim outcomes and partnering across the business to deliver continuous improvement.

Reporting to the Director, Risk Management, this role is ideal for a strategic, data-driven professional who excels at solving complex challenges, building relationships, and creating meaningful impact for both employees and the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; associates with 5+ years of Workers' Compensation claims experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of WC claims management, reserving, litigation, regulatory compliance, and Return to Work programs.
• Experience managing Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) and other external claims service providers.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Hertz's national Workers' Compensation and Return to Work programs, ensuring effective claims management, regulatory compliance, strong financial stewardship, and positive employee outcomes.
• Provide strategic direction and oversight to TPAs, defense counsel, nurse case managers, medical providers, and other vendors to drive optimal claim resolution and program performance.
• Review complex claims, litigation strategies, reserves, and settlements to support sound business decisions and mitigate risk.
• Partner with Operations, HR, Safety, Payroll, Finance, and Legal to facilitate successful return-to-work outcomes and reduce lost time.
