Job summary

LaBovick Law Group in Palm Beach Gardens, FL seeks a Workers’ Compensation Legal Assistant to join our fast-paced team. You will maintain organized case files, manage calendars, handle pleadings, medical records and discovery, and support attorneys throughout the case lifecycle.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, proactive, able to multitask, and discreet with confidential information. Prior legal support experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office are preferred to help deliver

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous legal support experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with legal terminology, document handling, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized case files and ensure all documents are accurately filed and accessible.
• Update case management systems with status, deadlines, and key case details.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, pleadings, and other documents.
• Copy, scan, print, and file documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Schedule attorney appointments and maintain accurate calendar entries.
• Request and obtain medical records and bills from providers.
• Assist with discovery preparation and responses.
• Process cost bills and prepare check requests as needed.
• Assist with draft closing statements and bill reduction requests.
• Support attorneys and case staff with day-to-day case progression.
