Job summary

Vaughan McLean is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to support its workers' compensation practice group in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. The role focuses on managing fast-paced administrative tasks, professional communication with employers and insurers, and organized case files from intake to resolution.

The ideal candidate brings 1–3 years of secretarial or administrative experience, familiarity with Florida workers' compensation terminology, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of secretarial or administrative experience.
• Experience in Florida law firms preferred (workers' compensation or insurance defense).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal case management systems.

Responsibilities

• Document management: draft, format, proofread correspondence, petitions, motions, and discovery requests.
• E-filing: handle electronic filing through state systems and coordinate with JCC offices.
• Calendar management: maintain attorney calendars and schedule depositions, mediations, client appointments, and hearings.
• Client & provider communication: answer phones, manage inquiries from clients, medical providers, and adjusters.
• File organization: maintain physical/electronic files and log medical records and bills.
