Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its growing Jersey City practice. The attorney will handle a heavy and complex caseload and hearings, with an opportunity to help build a new statewide workers’ compensation practice within the firm.

You will manage cases from intake to resolution, appearing at depositions, hearings, and court proceedings, while leveraging the firm’s resources and case docket management tools to maximize outcomes.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the NJ State Bar Association.
• Minimum 3+ years of workers' compensation experience.
• Ability to manage high volume of cases and hearings.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals.
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of cases and hearings.
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents including pleadings, discovery requests/responses, demands, motions, and memoranda.
• Guide clients through the case process.
• Interaction with expert witnesses, including conferences, drafting expert reports and affidavits.
• Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
