Job summary

Focus on WD is seeking a Director of Systems Integrations to own and shape a scalable integration capability around Workday, leading a growing team and setting the standards for delivery.

You will connect Workday with ERP, CRM, payroll and other enterprise systems, designing with Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors and APIs, while mentoring engineers and collaborating with clients to drive successful outcomes.

We are partnering with an ambitious startup in the Workday ecosystem to hire a Director of Systems Integrations. This is an opportunity to join early, shape the integration capability and grow a team around the standards you help establish.

Workday comes first, but your experience needs to go beyond it. We need someone who understands how Workday connects into a wider enterprise environment and brings integration experience across other platforms and technologies.

What you will be doing

• Leading integration architecture and hands-on delivery across Workday HCM and Financials.
• Designing, building, testing and deploying integrations using Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors and APIs.
• Connecting Workday with wider ERP, CRM, payroll and other enterprise platforms.
• Creating reusable integration components, templates and delivery standards.
• Owning technical quality, including security, monitoring, error handling, documentation and troubleshooting.
• Working directly with clients to understand requirements, explain solutions and guide technical decisions.
• Supporting delivery through testing, go-live and ongoing support.
• Recruiting, mentoring and developing the integration team as demand grows.

Who we need

• Strong hands-on Workday integration experience across both HCM and Financials.
• Confident Workday Studio development skills, alongside EIBs, Core Connectors and web services.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, data transformation and middleware.
• Broader integration experience involving platforms such as Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, NetSuite or comparable enterprise systems. You do not need every platform listed.
• Someone who can own the architecture and still get into the detail to build, troubleshoot and deliver.
• Strong client communication skills and the ability to turn business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Someone comfortable with a startup environment, taking ownership and creating structure as the business develops.

What this role is, and what it is not

This is a hands-on technical leadership role with a team-building opportunity. You will be actively involved in delivery from the start.

It is not a management-only position, and it is not limited to Workday HCM, payroll interfaces or data migration. We need breadth across Workday HCM, Financials and the wider systems they connect to.

Location

Dallas-based hybrid working. Candidates already local or willing to relocate are welcome, with relocation support and any sign-on arrangements negotiated individually.
