Job Description:

Our client is seeking a skilled Workday Reporting Specialist to support enterprise-level reporting needs in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in building and maintaining Workday reports (Simple, Advanced, Matrix) and a strong analytical mindset with proficiency in SQL and Excel. This role requires consistent communication and coordination with multiple team leads and stakeholders across departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain Workday reports including Simple, Advanced, and Matrix reports
• Collaborate with functional leads, technical teams, and business users to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective Workday reports
• Perform data analysis using SQL and Excel to validate and reconcile Workday report output
• Participate in full-cycle report testing, including test case development, execution, and results documentation
• Troubleshoot reporting issues and provide timely resolutions
• Assist in data mapping efforts across multiple data sources and systems
• Document report logic, design specifications, and processes for future reference
• Work with sensitive HR, finance, or operational data, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience building and maintaining reports in Workday (Simple, Advanced, Matrix)
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multiple team leads and business stakeholders
• Strong analytical and data validation skills with proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality results on time

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience working in a state or public sector environment using Workday
• Familiarity with data mapping methodologies across systems or integrations
• Experience in full-cycle report testing including creation of test cases and validation
