Job description

Responsibilities:
  • Designs, configures, and tests reports and dashboards based on functional requirements for the different business process streams/Workday modules. Reviews existing reports and continuously improves them;
  • Fosters a data-driven culture and supports data literacy of Workday stream communities. Supports data quality in Workday and the delivery of valuable and reliable data. Assesses risks associated with data storage;
  • Solves reporting tickets and handles errors for Workday in a timely manner. Involves and manages external AMS partner if needed;
  • Supports the functional stream leads during the specification/qualification of new requests/solutions while ensuring that the defined guidelines for new demands in the Workday context are followed. Analyses and challenges requests and identifies cross-stream impacts. Supports the stream lead in the evaluation of new vendors;
  • Supports the ongoing overall harmonization and optimization of reports, focusing on a lean setup;
  • Ensures the timely and quality completion of defined projects/tasks/deliverables;
  • Responsible for timely identification and escalation of risks and development of alternative technical approaches when necessary;
  • Educates the Workday stream communities and the stream leads about new technical features and supports Freudenberg internal Workday trainings (e.g., provides reporting trainings for key users or develops content for such trainings);
  • Stays informed about the Workday roadmap and has the latest knowledge about the content of Workday releases and technical features reporting and dashboards;
  • Serves as a Workday Reporting expert with deep knowledge of current functionality, design concepts, touchpoints with relevant functional areas and in consideration of future product direction;
  • Mentors other team members and actively shares knowledge with them to support their self-sufficiency in reporting;
  • Cooperates with external partners and networks with Workday and other Workday customers.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in the field of informatics, business informatics, business intelligence or a comparable education;
  • Workday Pro certification in reporting or equivalent experience in creating and maintaining reports and dashboards in Workday;
  • Previous experience in the configuration of modern cloud HCM systems, ideally Workday (Core HCM, Talent & Performance, Recruiting, Compensation, Talent Optimization, etc.);
  • Proven Workday reporting skills (Advanced, Matrix, Composite reports) and advanced knowledge of calculated fields;
  • Security in Reporting: Understanding of Workday’s security model to ensure reports respect user roles and permissions;
  • Fluent in English, additional language is beneficial (e.g., German);
  • Ideally, familiarity with Workday PRISM Analytics and with compliance and regulatory reporting requirements in HR;
  • Ideally, skills in using BIRT for creating highly formatted custom reports and knowledge in data modelling and SQL;
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics in an understandable way;
  • Analytical, structured way of working and high problem-solving ability;
