McLane Company is seeking a Payroll Systems Analyst to optimize Workday Payroll and Time Tracking and partner with cross-functional teams across Payroll, HRIS, IT, and Compensation. This on-site role requires proximity to Temple, TX and a focus on process improvements and data integrity.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in payroll systems, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years payroll experience, including Workday Payroll/Time Tracking.
• Experience supporting payroll systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process improvements.
• Strong understanding of payroll operations and system functionality.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, reporting and data analysis.
• Ability to evaluate system impacts, identify dependencies, and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to evaluate and implement Workday Payroll and Time Tracking enhancements.
• Analyze requested changes and assess upstream and downstream impacts on payroll and related systems.
• Troubleshoot payroll system issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Configure, test, document, and validate Workday changes before implementation.
• Perform testing and regression testing to ensure stability and accuracy.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, HR, Compensation, and IT to maintain data integrity and drive improvements.
• Develop and maintain payroll system documentation and training materials.
