Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Systems Analyst to optimize Workday Payroll and Time Tracking. You will partner with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and support payroll operations for teammates nationwide.

The role requires analyzing changes, testing configurations, and maintaining system documentation while ensuring data integrity and process improvements. On-site work from Temple, TX is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Accounting, or 3+ years payroll experience.
• Experience supporting payroll systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing process improvements.
• Strong understanding of payroll operations and system functionality.
• Advanced Excel with pivot tables, formulas, reporting, and data analysis.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to evaluate system impacts, dependencies, and develop practical solutions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across departments.
• Project management and organizational skills; ability to manage priorities.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining confidentiality.
• Customer-focused mindset with commitment to excellent support.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to evaluate and implement Workday Payroll and Time Tracking enhancements.
• Analyze requested changes and assess upstream/downstream impacts on payroll systems.
• Troubleshoot payroll system issues; identify root causes and solutions.
• Configure, test, document, and validate Workday changes before deployment.
• Perform thorough testing and regression to ensure system stability.
• Collaborate with Payroll, HRIS, HR, Compensation, and IT to maintain data integrity.
• Develop and maintain payroll system documentation and training materials.
• Provide support for payroll system questions and issue resolution.
• Create reports using Workday and Excel to support business needs.
• Expand Field/Team knowledge of Workday Payroll and Time Tracking.
• Monitor and resolve issues within service levels.
• Support field HR and payroll teams with system input and reporting needs.
