The Workday Integration Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting financial integrations within the Workday architecture. This role spans multiple levels of expertise, from mid-level to senior and lead, and involves collaboration across technical and business teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, secure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop new financial integrations for Workday architecture
- Comprehend and learn non-Workday applications; communicate effectively with software development teams
- Conduct all phases of the product development life cycle including analysis, design, testing, deployment, and integration
- Perform component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation, and design recommendations
- Convey integration design details through strong written and verbal communication, including Design/Functional Specifications
- Provide support for Workday in-bound and outbound integration issues, incident management, monitoring, and changes
- Participate in system maintenance including version updates, patching, and implementation of fixes and enhancements
- Research and incorporate new technologies and tools to enhance development and support processes
- Expand technical proficiency in key areas
- Demonstrate initiative and motivation to work beyond comfort zone
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Apply strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Identify patterns from problem definitions
- Troubleshoot production issues with quick turnaround
- Adhere to cyber security and data governance policies while maintaining trust
Senior and Lead Level Responsibilities (in addition to above)
- Advise management on technical development objectives and long-term maintainability
- Serve as Workday Integration Subject Matter Expert across key company groups
- Lead planning, design, and architecture phases of software development
- Communicate concepts, designs, and solutions effectively
- Resolve complex issues through in-depth evaluation and creative approaches
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members
- May schedule work, train, mentor, and coach employees
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, MIS, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 2: Minimum 2 years of related Workday experience beyond degree requirements
- Senior Level: Minimum 5 years of related Workday experience beyond degree requirements
- Lead Level: Minimum 8 years of related Workday experience beyond degree requirements
- Experience with Workday Integrations, Security Framework, Integration Security, Workday Studio, Cloud Connect, Enterprise Interface Builder, Calculated Fields, Business Processes, and Workday Reporting including BIRT reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing and developing integrations within Workday architecture
- Experience with APIs (SOAP, REST, XML web services, XSLT, XPATH, JSON)
- Familiarity with Workday PRISM
- Financial systems experience (e.g., Collateral and Credit Management, Treasury/Banking, Settlements and Billing, BlackLine Cash Application)
- Experience with SOA-based integration products
- Java, Oracle PL/SQL
- Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Application Performance Monitoring, or Dynatrace
- Ability to optimize performance and operations based on requirements
