Qualifications

• Experience developing and supporting enterprise Workday integrations.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support complex Workday integrations using Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, Core Connectors, Cloud Connectors, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Develop and maintain custom applications and solutions using Workday Extend.
• Build and support inbound and outbound integrations between Workday Financials and external systems.
• Perform data transformations using XML, JSON, XSLT, and Workday calculated fields.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across environments.
• Provide technical engineering support for Workday Financial Management modules (GL, Expense, S2P).
• Ensure integrations align with financial data models and transaction flows.
• Support API-driven financial transactions and GL postings.
• Partner with Finance IT and stakeholders to deliver scalable Workday solutions.
• Lead technical design while remaining involved in development and implementation.
• Review code and mentor other Workday engineers.
• Collaborate with architects, PMs, and functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, integration performance, and system reliability.
• Maintain technical documentation and data mappings.

We are seeking a Senior/Lead Workday Financials Engineer to serve as a hands‑on technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for developing, integrating, and supporting enterprise Workday Financial Management solutions. This role focuses on technical engineering, custom development, and integration using Workday Extend, Studio, Orchestrate, APIs, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday Financials, including General Ledger (GL), Expense, and Source to Pay (S2P), and will lead technical solution delivery within a large enterprise Finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support complex Workday integrations using Studio, Orchestrate, Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Core Connectors, Cloud Connectors, and REST/SOAP APIs.
• Develop and maintain custom applications and solutions using Workday Extend.
• Build and support inbound and outbound integrations between Workday Financials and external enterprise systems.
• Perform data transformations using XML, JSON, XSLT, and Workday calculated fields.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across development, testing, and production environments.
• Provide technical engineering support for Workday Financial Management modules, including General Ledger (GL), Expense, and Source to Pay (S2P).
• Ensure integrations and custom solutions align with financial transaction flows, accounting structures, and enterprise data models.
• Support API‑driven financial transactions and General Ledger postings.
• Partner with Finance IT teams and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable Workday Financials solutions.
• Serve as the technical lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Workday Financials integrations and Workday Extend development.
• Lead technical solution design while remaining actively involved in development and implementation.
• Review code, provide technical guidance, and mentor other Workday engineers.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and functional teams to deliver high‑quality technical solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, integration performance, and system reliability.
• Support the full software development lifecycle, including technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and data mapping documentation.
• Stay current with Workday releases and enhancements related to Financials, Extend, APIs, and Orchestrate.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on Workday technical development experience.
• Advanced experience building Workday integrations using REST and SOAP APIs.
• Proven experience supporting Workday Financial Management, including General Ledger (GL), Expense, and Source to Pay (S2P).
• Strong technical expertise with Workday Studio, Orchestrate, XML, JSON, and XSLT.

• Previous contract‑to‑hire experience with successful conversion to a permanent role.
