Job summary

Nelnet, Inc. is seeking a Workday Financial Systems Manager in Lincoln, NE to own the strategic roadmap and value realization of the Workday FINs platform. You will lead roadmap priorities, manage large projects, and engage stakeholders across finance operations.

The role requires strong governance, change management, and cross-functional collaboration with Controllers and CFO-level leadership to drive outcomes in a dynamic, service‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or information systems management, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Systems roles.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Financials preferred; deep configuration expertise is not required.
• Experience coordinating or leading projects; formal Agile or product-ownership experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and communicate the Workday roadmap and vision; track release calendar and assess SKUs/agents.
• Lead large, complex projects, roadmap-driven Workday initiatives and company-driven projects affecting Workday.
• Build Workday user groups into structured forums to surface new projects and priorities.
• Brief the FINs Steering Committee and drive decisions on roadmap priorities and capacity.
