Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a Workday Financial Systems Manager to own the strategic vision and roadmap for the Workday Financials platform. You will blend product ownership with project management to drive investments and outcomes across finance operations in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

You will lead governance with the FINs Steering Committee, manage large initiatives, and partner with cross-functional teams to optimize processes and system integrations.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in accounting, finance, or information systems management, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, or Financial Systems roles.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Financials preferred; deep configuration expertise is not required.
• Experience coordinating or leading projects; formal Agile or product-management experience is preferred.
• Background in accounting or finance; working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Own and communicate the Workday roadmap and vision; track release calendar and evaluate new SKUs/agents.
• Lead large, complex projects that impact Workday and finance operations; establish plans and track progress.
• Build a structured Workday user group to surface new projects and shape roadmap priorities; drive adoption and enablement.
• Brief the FINs Steering Committee and collaborate with developers and process owners to improve service delivery.
