Fitchburg State University is seeking a Work Study Student Employment-Residence Life Office Assistant. The role supports the Residence Life Office with front-desk duties, information on housing and meal plans, and basic data entry using Excel/Google Sheets. POSITION SUMMARY
The Position supports the office by addressing housing and meal plan related questions. In addition, the position provides a high level of customer service through knowledge of university and departmental programming/events, financial literacy/competence and policy enforcement.
Residence Life operates Monday - Friday between the hours of 8am - 5pm. Student staff schedules will be scheduled within these hours of operation. This position may require some weekends, evenings and periods when the University is on break, hours varying during peak times of the year. A minimum commitment of 10 hours a week up to a maximum of 20 hours a week is permitted. Hours in excess of 20 are allowed during weeks with no academic scheduled classes and during the summer break (if not enrolled in any classes).
Shift Information:
This is a student only posting and you must have Federal Work Study money allocated to you in your financial aid package.
Shift will vary based on student schedules and the pay is $15 per hour.
This position is hired for the following time frames: Fall 2026/Spring 2027
